Introducing Team Grand’s new colt by the former Champion 2yo and son of Champion Sire I AM INVINCIBLE, the lightning fast, SUPER ONE!

“He’s as fast an entire as I’ve ever trained” – Lee Freedman

SUPER ONE was Singapore’s star 2yo of his year being unbeaten in 4 starts, winning both the Juvenile Championship and the Gold Horseshoe in a season which saw him crowned Champion 2yo of Singapore. So dominant was he, that he won both of those 2yo stakes races by an impressive 5 lengths each. He retired to stud after just 8 starts and with 5 wins to his name, as one of the fastest sons of the champion sire I AM INVINCIBLE.

“He’s the fasted 2yo I’ve ever had anything to do with” – Michael Freedman

As a stallion, and with his first crop now starting to hit the ground, he’s produced several 2yo trial winners already, and his first winner has already landed, in the fast filly Superbellaa, currently 1 from 1 at the races after two impressive Sydney trial wins. For the breeding buffs, it’s worth noting that Superbella is bred on the same DANZIG cross that our colt is!

On that female side, this colt is from the well-bred Danasinga mare Garland Girl, a former $180,000 yearling from the family of outstanding broodmare STAGING, the dam of G1-winners DUPORTH & EXCITES, as well as the G2-winner and G1-placed TICKETS. On the racetrack, Garland Girl was good enough to be a dual winning, multiple metro-placed mare, and at stud she’s already produced a winner from her first foal to race.

As nicely bred as he is, it’s on type (physique) that this colt caught our eye at the sales. He’s a strong, early running type with good athletic conformation, and as a bonus, he’s very flashy with his deep chestnut coat and four white socks and blaze. You certainly won’t miss him on the racetrack, and if he can run as good as he looks, then you’ll feel pretty proud being one of his owners when he gets to the races!

All in all, this great-looking and well-bred colt comes in well under what you’d normally expect to pay for him, and he’ll make a great addition to your stable, or even a fantastic initial foray into racehorse ownership if it’s your first time!
