🍷 EXCLUSIVE Member Only Event – An Evening of Cricket & Wine

Dinner with Ricky Ponting

Supporting Spinal Cure Australia & The Ponting Foundation

On Wednesday night, the SLAMIT crew were proud to be part of an unforgettable evening alongside one of Australia’s greatest sporting legends, Ricky Ponting — all in support of two incredible causes: Spinal Cure Australia and The Ponting Foundation.

Held at the stunning Glass Brasserie inside the iconic Hilton Sydney, the night delivered more than just fine food and wine — it delivered inspiration, impact, and a powerful reminder of how sport can change lives far beyond the field.

A Night of Stories, Leadership & Purpose

Guests were treated to an intimate evening with Ricky as he shared behind-the-scenes stories from a career that shaped a generation of Australian sport — from leadership at the highest level to moments of pressure that tested both skill and character.

But the heart of the night went deeper than cricket.

It was about community.
It was about resilience.
And it was about creating real change through the power of connection.

The event brought together an incredible table of sporting and media legends, including Kim and Mark Waugh, Jarrod Croker, Michelle Bishop, Tommy Berry, Kerrin McEvoy and Andrew Adkins — with the legend Matt Burke keeping the laughs flowing throughout the night.

World-Class Wine, World-Class Causes

The evening was perfectly paired with world-class wines from Team Ponting Wines — and just like Ricky’s career, they delivered on every level.

But what made this night truly special was knowing that every conversation, every glass poured and every seat at the table was contributing to causes that are making a real difference across Australia.

Spinal Cure Australia continues its vital work toward finding a cure for spinal cord injury — bringing hope to thousands of Australians and their families.

The Ponting Foundation helps young people who are facing serious illness and disadvantage, supporting education, health and wellbeing programs across the country to give kids a better chance at life.

Two charities.
One powerful night.
One shared goal — change.

What This Means for SLAMIT

At SLAMIT, we exist for more than just competitions and prizes.

We are built around:

  • Connection
  • Opportunity
  • And impact

Being part of nights like this is exactly what SLAMIT stands for: using sport to bring people together, unlock experiences money can’t buy, and support causes that matter.

This wasn’t just a dinner.

It was a statement.

And it’s only the beginning.
